CULTURE OF FELIPE IV
The government of Felipe IV coincided with the historical stage known as the Renaissance. Although the ideological change was not as extreme as in other countries; it did not break abruptly with the medieval tradition, religious literature did not disappear and it was during the Renaissance that ascetic and mystical authors emerged in Spain.
